Introducing jIM2 - the Java Image Manager for DM7000 - 2nd edition
------------------------------------------------------------------

The DBB (insane) team is pleased to introduce the second edition of jIM (cross platform java image manager for Dreambox DM7000).
The core and the ftp/telnet classes has been totally rewritten, the gui has been also updated and mostly rewritten.

jIM2 has been written in Java: this means that jIM2 can run on all Operating Systems, as Windows (all flavours), Linux (all shapes) and even on Mac OS.

The minimum java runtime version required is 5

Fist of all, complete the "configuration" page as required, don't forget to thick the "I accept" disclaimer checkbox in order to enabled jIM2, otherwise no operation will be performed by jIM2.

All kind of install/backup/restore is handled by jIM2, both in flash and multiboot; jIM2 has built-in support for multiboot managers BootMenue and FlashWizardPro.
Image install will be performed according to your FlashImage's current active bootmanager (if any); jIM2 has native support for BootMenue, FlashWizardPro is also supported
but no binaries are included with jIM2 distribution, so it's up to the user to install Fwpro to the DM7000.

Apart from images install/backup/restore jIM2 performs variuous operarations on Flash and Multiboot images: see for yourself in the Control Panel.
jIM2 offers the ability to shutdown enigma during multiboot image install, while enigma is always shutted down in case of flash install/restore; flash install is
handled by a small tool which performs flash-erase and writes new image in flash; install progess information is provided on your TV screen.
During flash-install jffs2 (/var) partition is always erased, thus no flash erase is needed after rebooting the box.
