DriveMate Rec is an iPhone app that records video while you drive and tracks the route driven.

Major functions
----------------

Drive recorder: Automatically records video in incidents such as traffic accidents

You can record a movie of up to ten seconds before and after an event when impact such as in sudden braking or collision is sensed or when the REC button on the screen is pressed.
Recorded video can be exported to the camera roll or put it up on YouTube on the spot.
The viewer also lets you inspect the recorded video right where you are.
You can set according to your needs acceleration at which recording starts (0.1 to 1.0 G), recording time (1 to 10 sec. before and after), and image quality (low/high quality).


Video Recorder: Mode for recording scenery and the like while driving

Press the REC button on the screen to continuously record for up to 120 minutes. The scenery captured by the camera is displayed on the screen while driving, and your vehicle’s current location, speed, and acceleration are also shown.
Recorded video can be exported to the camera roll or put it up on YouTube on the spot (up to 15 min.).
The viewer also lets you play back video of your driving along with a record of the vehicle location, speed, and acceleration.
You can set as you like automatic stop time for recording (1 to 120 min.), sound recording (on/off), and image quality (low/high).


Time Trial: Mode to save, play back, and compare tracks of routes driven

When using the Time Trial function, first track a route you often drive such as between home and work. A route preciously tracked can then be played back on the screen with the current route. Then, the next time you travel that route, you can compare in real time preciously recorded location information with the location of the vehicle being driven.

・ Sound is not recorded with Drive Recorder
・ Recording in dangerous situations is not guaranteed.
・ Using iPhone functions to their full drains the battery rapidly, so we recommend that you dim the backlight.
・ The app quits automatically if the iPhone becomes hot.
・ Fix your iPhone securely in a place where it does not interfere with operation of airbags or driving. (Use of a dedicated holder sold separately is recommended.)

[Add]Power Save Mode
(Mode to hide view automatically in 10 seconds after the last operation)
However, power-save is not effective for iPhone 3GS although the view is hidden.
